SE to hoop it up for charity


   Basketball will combine with friends, tournaments, prizes and charity Saturday, Nov. 8, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
   Beta Delta Omicron Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa on SE Campus will sponsor Hoop It Up For Life, a basketball tournament to benefit the American Cancer Society.
   Everyone can play since there will be team slots for 8-12 years old, 13-16 and 17 and over. Students can invite their siblings, neighbors or dads and challenge them to a game of basketball.
   Registration forms are available at Arlington Courts, 2500 E. Mayfield in Arlington.
   Registration costs $60 for 17 and over teams and $50 for teen and children teams.
   The elimination tournament will be held at Arlington Courts. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams and trophies to the winning team in each age group.
   There will also be games, prizes and vendors providing organic samples and information on cancer from the American Cancer Society.
   The tournament was rescheduled previously because a shortage of teams.
   PTK encourages students, faculty and staff to hoop it up for life and support a cause that affects everyone.
