The NE Campus English department is
sponsoring a writing contest. Entries in poetry, fiction and essay are
due by Monday, Nov. 17. Applications are available in NACB 109 or NFAC
336 or from any English faculty member. Winning entries will be published
in next year’s edition of Under the Clock Tower, student literary
magazine. The top four winners also will receive monetary awards.

Today A Home-Based Business Seminar offers the opportunity
to gain knowledge on how to set up, network and grow a home-based business

$15 and pneumonia vaccinations for $25 in SACC 146, 10:30 a.m.-1:30

Nov. 6 NE Campus Interviewing Tips, presented by NE Campus
Career and Employment Services, will be 12:30-2 p.m. in the Student
Center Texas Room.
Nov. 8 The TCC Astronomy Club invites the public to watch a
lunar eclipse at sunset on NE Campus in the parking lot across from
the tennis courts. Telescopes will be provided.
Nov. 11 NW Campus explores WINR programs to help women experiencing
a transition in life, through counseling, education and support during
the change into a new role, 12:30-1:30 p.m., C-112.
Nov. 11-12 The NW Campus Learning Center is offering workshops
in which instructional associates will work sample THEA problems and
give suggestions on test strategies on the third floor of N building
(East wing of the library) 2:15-3:30 p.m.
Nov. 12 Salary Negotiation presented by NE Campus Career and
Employment Services, will be 12:30-2 p.m., in the Galley of the Student
Center.
Nov. 13 Employers will be in the Student Center Foyer on South
Campus recruiting from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Nov. 14 Deadline to petition for fall graduation.
Nov. 18 Various employers will be on hand to speak one-on-one
on economic growth, industry trends and outlook of U.S. global markets
2-3 p.m. in the SSTU Texas Room on South Campus.
Nov. 18-19 Phi Theta Kappa presents Heads vs. Feds: The Great
Debate teleconference by Steven Hager, Robert Stutman and Dr. Billy
Martin on all four campuses, 6:30-8 p.m.
Nov. 19 South Campus English department will host Evening With
Authors featuring Jas. Mardis, Yvette R. Blair and Phyllis Allen, 7:30
p.m. in the Rotunda.
Nov. 19 David Walker will present Hot Holiday Gift Items for
the TCC Computer User Group in NSTU Center Corner on NE Campus 1-4 p.m.
