District extends drop date to relieve
lines
Students who missed Saturday’s
drop deadline for fall classes have been granted a reprieve. The new
drop date is Saturday, Nov. 22.
With the implementation of TCC Connect, which uses
TCC’s new administrative software, students can no longer access
fall class schedules in order to drop since the fall semester was under
the previous software system.
Students must visit the registrar’s office on
any campus to process the drop request.
Students who cannot appear on campus can fax a request
to TCC Records Office at 817-515-5278.
The drop request must include full name, student number
(usually the social security number) and the section number for each
course to be dropped.
The student dropping must sign the request.
Dr. Cathie Jackson, TCC director of admissions and records,
said the problem resulted from the one-week overlap of the fall semester
drop deadline and the start of early registration for spring.
With the new system in place, students will once more
be able to process drops online after this semester.
