Society to honor victims

    The American Cancer Society’s annual Relay for Life event this year will include luminary ceremonies to honor the lives lost to cancer and cancer survivors.

   Relay for Life is a family-oriented event to unite individuals concerned about cancer.

   Former and current cancer patients interested in participating in the celebration for survivors may register by calling 817-737-9990.

   Luminary candles may be purchased for a minimum donation of $5 in Tarrant County and $10 in Denton County by calling 817-737-9990.

   All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

   Luminary ceremonies will be May 17-18 at L.D. Bell High School, in Hurst, and June 7-8 at Mansfield High School North Campus and Fort Worth County Day School. For more dates and locations for Relay for Life events in the area, call 817-737-9990.
