ACS to staff resource center
The American Cancer Society will now have a locally staffed Cancer Resource Center at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
The center will provide services such as patient counseling, support groups, rides to cancer treatment and many other needed services.
The center will give our patients and their loved ones access to some of the best services in the area, the latest information on research and treatments and the most important thinga friendly face and a helping hand during trying times, David Cecero, JPS Health Network president and CEO, said.
Located on the third floor of JPS, neighboring the Healing Wings Outpatient Unit, the center will be staffed with a full-time bilingual social worker.
A grant from the Sid Richardson Foundation to the American Cancer Society made the Cancer Resource Center possible.
