Apollo Night brings boos, cheers, laughter, crowds

    The African-American Student Organization (AASO) hosted its second Apollo Night last week.

   The talent program offered the standing-room-only audience a variety of performances.

   Before the show, Dr. Ernest Thomas, South Campus president, and three staff members did an impromptu Temptations-style dance and lip-sync on stage to a roaring crowd.

   As the show began, the emcee gave the audience instructions.

   “Don’t boo them right away. Give them a chance and when their chance is up … then boo them,” he said.
