Board announces August meetings
The Tarrant County Board of Trustees has announced three meetings this month.
The board will meet Wednesday, Aug. 8, for the declaration of the proposed tax rate for next year and set a public hearing. Also, at that time the Redistricting Committee will present its proposal to the board for discussion. Time will be allotted for public comment on the proposed districts. The board will also consider the architectural contract for repairs on the South Campus swimming pool building.
The public hearing on the tax rate is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 16. That meeting will allow Tarrant County taxpayers to voice their support of or opposition to any proposed change in the Tarrant County College District tax rate.
The final board meting of the month is set for Thursday, Aug. 23.
During that session, board members will vote to adopt the tax rate Board and take action on salaries.
Also, the board will discuss and vote on the proposed budget for the 2001-2002 academic year and vote on new trustee districts.
All board meetings are scheduled for 6 p.m. at the May Owen Center in downtown Fort Worth.
