NW bowl nets winners tuition aid

  Five NW Campus students are $100 richer after winning the campus’ fourth annual College Bowl last week.

  Twelve teams participated, with each team playing a minimum of two times.

  Champions include Shaunna Moyers, Amy Jones, Rachael Bode, Eric Galloway and Kelly Peninger. In second place were Jesse Read, Brian Covey, Kerri Turner, Kara Autrey and Jordan Watson.

  Second-year Cornerstone honor students made up the first- and second-place teams.

  First-place winners receive $100 toward spring tuition.

  Regional team members include Ricky Wasson, Jones, Covey, Deric Merrill and Laura Foster. They will attend regionals in February at the University of North Texas.

  TCC has been the only two-year college participating in regionals the last two years and took seventh place last year. They also had one of the highest individual scores.

  “We’re hoping to continue with this new group,” Sharon Allen, senior secretary, said.
