Holiday market to raise money for local groups

    The 24th annual Chi Omega Christmas Market will raise money for local charities Wed-nesday-Saturday, Nov. 7-Nov. 10, at the Dallas Convention Center.

    The Market has pledged $200,000 to nine local beneficiaries including the East Dallas Community School, Genesis Women’s Shelter, Girls Inc., Healing Hearts, Parkland Foundation, the Wilkinson Center and Collegiate Scholar-ships. They have raised more than $3 million in 20 years.

    This year will feature more than 130 booths with a variety of merchandise such as furniture, scripture jewelry, homemade truffles and holiday accessories.

    Besides seasonal items, shoppers can from clothing, gourmet cuisine, pet supplies, jewelry and sporting gear.

    The Chi Omega Christmas Market begins with a Preview Party and Silent Auction Wednesday at 7 p.m.

    Tickets to this event are $75 per person and provide readmission to the market throughout the weekend.

    Tickets for the Market’s “First Call” from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday are $15.

    General admission tickets to the Market are $8 in advance or $10 per person at the door for the remainder of the weekend.
