Eminem more dope than hope

To our knowledge, Marshall Mathers III is no kin to Jerry Mathers.

Marshall Mathers III is best known by his fans as the irascible rapper, Eminem.

Jerry Mathers has been embraced by a host of new followers as the huggable, loveable Beaver of Leave It To Beaver classic television show.

A comparison of the two becomes quite laughable, however.

Beaver loved his mother, her apron and her chocolate chip cookies.
Eminem pushes his mother to law suits.

In June 1999, Eminem’s mother, Debbie Mathers-Briggs, sued her son for $10 million alleging her son slandered her on his release of the Slim Shady LP, implying she was an unstable drug user.

Beaver listened intently while his dad preached about killing innocent animals.

Eminem listened intently while a judge ordered the rapper to stand trial on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a concealed weapon.

Beaver always fessed up to his wrongdoings. He always learned his lesson.

Eminem fessed up to carrying a concealed weapon after prosecutors agreed to drop the felony assault charge. He will probably not learn his lesson when he is sentenced in April.

Beaver was a white kid who always understood the morals preached by his older brother and his prudish mom and dad.

Whatever Ward and June Cleaver said was truth personified.

Eminem is a white kid who sings about killing, raping, slaughtering or ripping off heads of about anyone he professes not to like, including his mother, gays, women and especially his wife.

It is difficult to assess the popularity of the rapper Eminem, who is hailed as rap music’s next great white hope. The only truth in the title given to Eminem is that he is white. We see nothing great or hopeful about him.

Eminem preaches hate, violence, destruction and homophobia. He tells us graphically about his relationships with his wife and mother.

Elton John reportedly sees the humor in Eminem’s work and performed a duo with the rapper at the recent Grammy Awards. Maybe Elton misses the point of the controversial singer.

We are glad Eminem lives in America with the freedom to rap about whatever he wants. We are glad Em-inem is able to tell us to go out and kill people or police or gays or his wife or his mother. We are glad Eminem is free to express himself in whatever way he wishes.

Since Eminem is free to express himself, we then are free to express ourselves. We would rather see Beaver with all his naiveté in 1000 reruns before spending even three minutes listening to Eminem’s ridiculous raps.

He is free to rap, and we are free to turn him off.

Eminem is not our great white hope. He is a minor white dope.
