Dracula revisited in Dallas theater

    Pocket Sandwich Theatre in Dallas has many shows and performances planned to entertain people during October.

   Dracula–The Melodrama will start Friday, Oct. 4, and run through Nov. 16. Written by Joe Dickinson, this play is a comedic-spoof of the classic vampire story by Bram Stoker.

   Tickets are $6 on Thursdays, $10 on Fridays, $14 on Saturdays and $8 on Sundays. There is a $2 discount for senior citizens and children 12 and under.

   Light Crust Doughboys will be performing their concert State Fair Cowboy Swing Monday, Oct. 14, at 7:30 p.m.

   Along with the concert, they will also sign copies of the book, The Light Crust Doughboys Are on the Air.

   This book details the history of the Doughboys from their start in 1931. It includes a 72-minute bonus CD of the Doughboys music.

   Tickets are $14 for the show only or $19 for the “meal deal.”

   Dead Comics Society performs Friday-Saturday, Oct. 18-19, for the late night show at 11:15.

   Tickets are $10 and the show is rated “R.”

   Texas Country Fever will perform Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 7:30. Seven musicians, including twin fiddles and twin steel guitars, play country-western swing music. Tickets are $10.

   Into the Mist: A Pagan Halloween with Jed Marum and Michael Harrison can be seen Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 8 p.m.

   Tickets are $10.
