NW conducting student enrichment workshops

    Students are invited to attend one of several Personal Enrichment Workshops, sponsored by the NW Campus counseling center, this month.

   Dr. Shelly Cavin, coordinator of special services, will present Power, Attraction and Seduction Thursday, Oct. 10, at 12:30 p.m. in C-112. Cavin will explain how one’s personality affects personal relationships.
On Friday, Oct. 11, Dr. Terry Collet, counselor and associate professor of psychology, will discuss How to Fall Out of Love at 12:30 p.m. in C-112. The workshop is designed for people trying to recover from or end a relationship.

   Road rage is the topic of a presentation by Larry Kimble, counselor, at 12:30 and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, in C-112. Stress/Road Rage—How to Survive will discuss stress levels and offer various tips for coping.

   Alcohol Awareness: Experience Fatal Vision will provide participants with information on the effects and consequences of drinking. In addition, students will have the opportunity to take a sobriety test with fatal vision glasses.

   Cpl. David L. Herndon, TCC crime prevention specialist, will present the seminar Thursday, Oct. 17, 12:30 and 5:30 p.m. in C-112.

   Glenda Redeemer, campus nurse, will conduct Nutrition and Educational Success Friday, Oct. 16, 12:30 p.m. in C-112. Redeemer will explain the relationship between good nutrition and academic success.
