TCC ex displays sculptures
A nationally renowned artist will lecture students and exhibit art Thursday, Feb. 21, from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on the NW Campus
Augie N Kele, a former TCC student, will speak about his exhibit to individual classes, as well as present certain works.
Since his first show in 1992, N Kele has attracted attention in the art world for his unique technique and subject.
He has exhibited in Tennessee, Nevada, Iowa, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Texas.
Public and private collections in Singapore, Europe and the United States feature his works.
N Kele uses a variety of material including window screen and wire in his sculptures.
Augies skill in fashioning ordinary wire into timeless three-dimensional documentaries is one of the most exciting and thoroughly researched exhibits ever to hit Dallas, Katherine Wagner, executive director of the Dallas Visual Art Center, said when he exhibited in 1995.
