Models dress for no stress
Fashion, a state of timelessness

Looking Good at Any Age, Kit Dunn’s non-credit class, proved it could do what it intended by impressing guests during the class final—a fashion show.

While there was not a test, the students obviously made the grade when it came to dressing well.

Kohl’s department store loaned the clothing, and the models (class members) illustrated what they had learned about fashion for older women, Dunn said.

“Mature women need to keep up with the changes,” she said.

The class meets once a week during the spring semester only.

Guest speakers address subjects as diverse as hair, accessory and cosmetic concerns to health problems for maturing women.

Since many of the women travel frequently, they are taught to look for clothes that are travel friendly.

“Part of picking out good-looking clothes includes easy care, packing well, wrinkle resistance and choice of coordinates,” she said.

Ten models displayed two changes of clothing. The clothes were colorful, comfortable and stylish.

“We can’t look young forever, but we can grow gracefully,” she said.
