Campuses join for go figure it games

    Students interested in putting their numbers to a test can do so next week on their respective campuses.

    All four campuses will participate in the Jim Bolen Math Competition 2002.

    The tests are composed of three one-hour pre-calculus tests. Friday, Nov. 9, Friday, Feb. 8, and Friday, April 5.

    An awards ceremony will be Friday, April 26.

    Cash awards will be given out to students, along with a full two-year tuition scholarship for Texas Christian University.

    “It is so remarkable for a community college to have such a commitment to its students to give away a $30,000 scholarship,” Kay Casey, executive director of the TCC foundation, said.

    Students interested must be enrolled at TCC for at least four semester hours and cannot have a two-year or higher degree.

    At the time of registration, participants must not have earned more than 70 college level hours and may not be enrolled at any four-year institution.
