United Way to sponsor implosion watch

    For an explosive evening, students can attend Rock-N-Rubble at DFW Airport Saturday, Sept. 15, 7 p.m.-midnight.

    The annual fund-raising campaign for the United Ways of Metropolitan Dallas, Inc., and Metropolitan Tarrant County will feature the midnight implosion of the Hyatt Regency, DFW Hotel’s 12-story West Tower, from three-quarters of a mile away.

    The night will also feature continuous live music and entertainment. Participants can try for raffle prizes and purchase foods from various Metroplex restaurants and vendors. Tickets are $5 per person and children 10 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
