SE Campus schedules activities, intramurals
Students interested in prolonging good health and participating in sports can sign up for SE Campus intramural sports.
David Williams, SE intramural director, encourages students to participate in a wide variety of sport. Planned activities include sand volleyball, 3-on-3 basketball tournaments, free-throw contest, 3-point shoot-out, outdoor sand volleyball, golf and a weight-lifting contest categorized by gender and weight class.
Mark Baldwin, staff member, said students can also enter a contest that encourages students to do more cardiovascular exercises, similar to the Seven Seas.
Each student can sign in and work out for a certain amount of time. The student who earns the most hours in the allotted time is awarded a t-shirt. Plans are to begin during the spring semester.
For more details involving intramural sports, students should contact Debbie Arenz or Williams in the physical education department at 817-515-3602.
Intramural sports dates will be posted on campus in the next week or two, Williams said.
