Legalline changing hours for holidays

Due to the upcoming holidays, the Tarrant County Bar Association’s (TCBA) Legalline services will be only on the second Thursdays of November and December this year.
Legalline is a community service project where attorneys volunteer to answer questions on legal issues from the public by telephone.
Normally, the TCBA sponsors Legalline on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month.
Volunteer attorneys remain anonymous, and callers may remain anonymous if they wish. Calls are taken at 817-335-1239, between 6 and 8 p.m. on Legalline nights.
A caller should explain briefly to the receptionist what type of case the caller has a question about.
The caller is then connected to an attorney to seek legal advice and answers.
If the caller needs to hire an attorney, he will be referred to the TCBA’s Lawyer Referral Service to obtain council with an attorney that handles that particular area of law.
The holiday dates are Thursday, Nov. 9, and Thursday, Dec. 14.
Another public service, TCBA’s Senior Citizens Liaison Committee has recently published an Elder Law Handbook.
The book discusses many areas of law that seniors or seniors’ caregivers may have interest in, such as wills, probate issues, taxes and many others.
Call the TCBA office at 817-338-4092 for a free copy of this booklet.
