Letter to the Editor
Dear Editor,
I object to the editorial article by KC Jones in the June 20 issue. Several statements are made as if they are fact, and I wonder if there is actually data to back them up.
Please give the references that will adequately support these statements: 35 million abortions since January 22, 1973; suicide, euthanasia, abortion, and violence are on the rise; loss of a generation of citizens, one in four, because of the legalization of abortion; adult stem cells have shown to produce the best results, but science has chosen to harvest newborns instead; thousands of embryos from invitro-fertilization are tossed into experiments; many people would rationalize that they are better off dead; million in America strive to die.
Another comment is made about unnaturally high average age evolving. The word unnatural seems to imply that average life expectancy should not be allowed to increase because that is unnatural.
The alarmist article mentions several popular beliefs about our society. I wonder how many of the statements are correct and how many are myths that cannot be supported by reliable data.
