Math competition to open in district
Students interested in math are invited to compete in the first round of the Jim Bolen Math competition Friday, Nov. 15.
Open to TCC students on all four campuses, the competition consists of two rounds. In each round, participants are given a one-hour, timed pre-calculus test.
Each campus awards a first, second and third place prize, and district-wide winners for first, second and third places are also given prizes.
Campus prizes are $50 for third, $150 for second and $250 for first place. District prizes are $300 for third, $400 for second and $750 for first. Every contestant will also receive a t-shirt.
