Teleconference to highlight interactive exhibit
Anyone interested in a day filled with fun, giggles and even some learning thrown in should attend a free teleconference about Mindfest.
The teleconference, Aug. 3 and 16 at 9-10:30 a.m. on NW Campus in N-208, discusses Mindfest, scheduled for Aug. 25 at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
Mindfest is described as science, exploration and technology meeting art, creativity and play. The all-day event is the second of its kind and is being brought to Fort Worth with the support of a nationwide network of institutions and museums. The first Mindfest was at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999.
Mindfest will combine free play in construction zones; impromptu happenings; pre-registered playshops, which will be fee-based; and in-depth roundtable discussions with some of the countrys most creative minds, including scientists and music educators.
For additional information, visit the museums Web site: www.fortworthmuseum.org. For more information about the teleconference, call TCCs public relations and marketing office, 817-515-5212.
