Museum plans fall specials

As the Autumnal Equinox draws near, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History will sponsor events for all ages.

Equinox Extra, Friday, Sept. 21, offers all visitors to the Museum exhibits or Omni Theater a Planetarium show for $1. The offer is valid for either of the Planetarium’s programs, Collisions and Texas Sky Tonight. Starting at 2:30 p.m., shows alternate through the day.

Senior Days at the Museum feature children’s prices for seniors 60+ for the Omni Theater ($4.50), the museum’s hands-on exhibits ($4.50) and the Noble Planetarium ($3.50). Seniors may also purchase combination tickets at children’s prices.

The IMAX films include Journey into Amazing Caves, The Living Sea and Titanica, which will run through Oct. 25. The usual continuing shows at the Planetarium are Solar Tours and Lone Star Legends.

    Exhibits are open 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon-5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Omni shows, which run through the day, start at 1:45 p.m. weekdays, 10:15 a.m. Saturdays and 12:45 p.m. Sundays. For more information, call 817-255-9300 or go to www.fortworthmuseum.org.
