SE Campus
Student organizations will hold a beach party noon-2
p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at the sand volleyball court between the pool and
the art annex. Students can play volleyball and learn about student organizations.
South campus
Health Services will sponsor two presentations to
help students cope in todayÕs world. Flo Stanton, coordinator of health
services, will present Balancing Multiple Roles Wednesday, Sept.
4, 6-6:45 p.m. in the SUB Forum Room. Positive Self-talk, also
presented by Stanton, is Monday, Sept. 9, 6-6:45 p.m. in the SUB Forum
Room.
Students can find job assistance during Rˇsumˇ Writing,
Tuesday, Sept. 10, 11 a.m.-12:20 p.m. in the SUB Forum Room. The seminar,
sponsored by the career center, will provide step-by-step guidelines for
developing a professional rˇsumˇ. It will be repeated Oct. 17.
As part of the Student Survival series sponsored
by counseling and student activities, Clif Dobbins, coordinator of testing,
will present a seminar on time management. Time Management will
be Thursday, Sept. 12, 11 a.m.-12:20 p.m. in the SUB Texas Room.
Two support groups sponsored by Women in New Roles
(WIN-R) will hold regular meetings throughout the semester. The Motherless
Daughters Group meets the second Saturday in September, October and November,
10-11:45 a.m. in the SUB. The Women Well Being Group will meet the third
week of school, 1-2 p.m. in the SUB Bluebonnet Room. Call 817-515-4740

NE Campus
The music department will sponsor a recital every
Friday, 1 p.m. in College Hall (CAB 112).
Peter Feresten, assistant professor of photography,
was the cover feature for FW WeeklyÕs Aug. 15-21 edition. The publication
includes a full-page cover of one of FerestenÕs photographs and a five-page
story with other examples of his work.
