NE to audition for next play

    NE Playhouse will hold auditions early for its second production of Once in a Lifetime by George Kaufman and Moss Hart.

   Auditions will be Thursday-Friday, Sept. 26-27, at 7 p.m. in the performance hall; callbacks and additional auditions will be Saturday, Sept. 28, at 10 a.m.

   Joe Alberti will direct the comedy about three Vaudeville performers who try to make it big in Hollywood during the launch of talking pictures.

   Cold readings from the script will be held. Actors may also prepare a one- to two-minute monologue to perform during the audition.

   All character types are needed to fill 35 roles.

   Rehearsals will begin Monday, Oct. 14, with performances running Wednesday-Sunday, Nov. 20-26.
