NW plans health-related events

    NW health services center has planned several upcoming events.

    The NW Campus Weight Watchers at Work will have an informational meeting, today, Oct. 10, in N–401 at 4:30 p.m. A Weight Watchers at Work staff member will facilitate the meeting. All students, faculty and staff who are interested in losing at least five pounds using a food plan that is nutritionally sound and proved successful are invited to attend.

    The American Cancer Society and heath services invite all students, faculty and staff to attend a breast and cervical cancer awareness seminar. The seminar will be Monday, Oct. 15, starting at noon in N–401. Door prizes will be given away.

    The semi-annual blood, marrow and platelet drive will be Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. in B–118W. Anyone interested in giving platelets or morrow should call Glenda Redeemer, campus nurse, 817-515-7672 to schedule a time.

    The Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital’s Mobil Heath unit will be on NW Campus Monday, Oct. 22, from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. doing screening mammograms.

    Call 1-888-4HARRIS to schedule an appointment. Harris personnel will file all health insurance claims as well as medical and Medicare billing.
