Recording artist Lou Rawls to sing with symphony

    Grammy award-winner Lou Rawls will perform with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra this weekend.

   Rawls, who has been recording for more than 40 years, will perform jazz, pop, soul, blues and gospel as part of the Audi Pop Series. The concerts will be Friday and Saturday, Feb. 1-2, 8 p.m., at the Morton H. Meyerson Center.

   The first half of each concert will include Joyeuse Marche by the French romantic composer Emmanuel Chabrier. Grammy award-winning conductor Richard Kaufman is in his fifth season as Principal Pops conductor of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

   Tickets may be purchased from the Dallas Symphony box office10 a.m.-6 p.m.
