Campus readies for Spring Fling

Spring is here, and once again the South Campus Student Government Association (SGA) will sponsor its annual Spring Fling Tuesday, April 24.

SGA has planned several activities for students: a dunking booth, bungie run, karaoke and basketball. Along with SGA, other student organizations will set up booths and help during this event.

In conjunction with SGA, Daniel Chacon, dean of students, will hold an open house for the whole community. High schools, churches, special organizations and many other groups will receive special invitations from the dean of students’ office inviting them to this event.

The open house will allow the community to see what TCC South Campus has to offer. The event has also been planned to help increase enrollment and recruit more students for the upcoming semesters. Representatives from various South Campus departments will be available to provide information to those interested.

Many four-year universities have also been invited to provide information on how the transfer process from TCC to their universities is handled and to inform students as to what information is needed to complete the transfer process.

The Spring Fling will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. The open house will be 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Weather permitting, these events will take place inside and outside of the Student Union Building.

For more information on either of these events, contact the student activities office at 817-515-4553.
