Scholarships available to students coming to TCC
Students who have completed at least 12 hours at TCC with a minimum grade point average of 2.5 can apply for a scholarship.
Two $500 awards ($250 each semester), from the Fort Worth Chapter of the Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education (TABPHE), will be given to students who enroll at TCC for the fall 2002 and spring 2003.
Application, available in any campus financial aid office, must be completed by Friday, April 26.
Applicants must provide transcripts from all colleges or universities attended, TASP or alternative test scores and a Student Aid Report or Federal Application for Student Aid.
The application also requires three letters of recommendation.
To keep the scholarship for the spring, winners must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher during the fall.
Recipients will be required to submit semester grades and provide a written report detailing the students academic progress.
In addition, the students will be assigned a TABPHE mentor and required to meet with him or her four times during the academic year.
If a recipient does not complete all requirements, the remaining portion of the award will be revoked.
