Scrubs capture basketball crown

     NE Campus intramural 3-on-3 basketball tournament ended with the Scrubs as the winners.

     Six teams competed in the single elimination tourney with teams playing a best two-out-of-three while vying for the grand prize.

     The winners of the tournament received free T-shirts to commemorate their victory along with the bragging rights of being the champ.

     In the first round, the Flying Kielbasas were eliminated by No Skills two games to none, and The Boys were knocked out by The Scrubs 2-0.

     In the second round, The Scrubs defeated the Make-ups 2-0, and No Skills lost to the Golden Gophers 2-1.

     The championship game featured The Scrubs and the Golden Gophers. The Scrubs came out on top two games to none in a hard-fought, physical contest.

     The Scrubs won the first game 10-2 and then won the second 10-7.

     Jayson Smith, Ismael Colon, Brian Goff, Eric Adams and Todd Willis are the members of The Scrubs, the winning team.
