Sedaka to perform in Dallas
Vocalist Neil Sedaka will perform this weekend as part of the Dallas Symphonys Lincoln Distinguished Artists Concerts at 8 p.m. in the Meyerson Center.
Sedaka has authored over 1,000 songs and is recognized as one of pop musics pioneers.
His top recordings in the 60s included Calendar Girl, Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen and Breaking Up Is Hard To Do.
His compositions have been recorded by several artists, including Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Patsy Cline and Cher. Artists today, such as Sheryl Crowe and Gloria Estefan, still record his hits.
