NE plans workshop on setting career goals
Students can discover their college and career goals by attending a student success workshop.
The event is scheduled 5-5:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, on NE Campus in CAB 112.
David Brownlie, academic advisor, and Amos McCluney, counselor, will lead an interactive session that will include career testing, degree planning, career counseling and course advisement.
These two counselors have conducted this seminar several years and try to incorporate updated information necessary for career decisions.
Career tests will be given to assess interests and skills that might lead to some career opportunities.
Counselors will recommend courses and give transfer information for those needing direction on further placement at other campuses or universities.
Students can expect to leave the seminar with a better understanding of their career paths and courses available to better suit these needs, Brownlie said.
Another workshop will be presented 12:30-1:50 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, on NE Campus in CAB 112.
