South plans campus activities

    South Campus is offering students a variety of extra-curricular programs this month.

   As part of the Student Survival Series, counseling and student activities will sponsor a seminar on note taking Wednesday, Sept. 25, 11 a.m.-12:20 p.m. in the SUB Texas Room.

   Effective Note Taking: Getting The Most Out Of What The Instructor Says offers tools and advice to students so they can get more benefit from their notes.

   As part of Hispanic Heritage month, Student Activities presents Noche Bohemia. Performances will include Ballet Folklorico Iztcalli de Bertha Garcia, Spanish guitarist Hugo Dominguez, and flamenco dancer Alondra Martinez.

   Noche Bohemia will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall.

   Two Hispanic Heritage month exhibits are on South Campus.

   The Ted Ayala art exhibit will run through Oct. 15 at the LRC. Voces Americanos: Latino Literature in the United States runs through Sept. 30 in the SUB Lobby.
