South groups join to provide fling

Students took a break from classes to participate in the annual South Campus Spring Fling.

Taking a break from classes to enjoy the warm weather, students gathered at the SUB for games, entertainment and food.

Student Activities and student organizations joined to create an atmosphere of fun on the SUB Patio.

“We are here promoting the school’s activities,” Cobi Ward, Student Government Association (SGA) member, said.

Several student groups helped their classmates forget about finals and summer jobs, at least for a few hours.

SGA provided drinks and a baseball throw booth.

The Latino Student Union (LSU) sponsored a hoops booth for the athletically minded while African American Student Organization offered Playstation games.

For those who got hungry, student activities furnished hot dogs.

“We’re just having a lot of fun,” David Garcia of LSU said.
