Campuses square off for food
by KC Jones, ne news editor
NE and South campuses are having a food fight.
Actually, it is a friendly competition between NE Campus Student Ambassadors and South Campus Student Government Association/Interclub Counsel to see who can collect the most canned and dry food for the Tarrant Area Food bank.
On South Campus, boxes covered with fall colors and food bank flyers are located in the ADM lobby, SUB 152, MTH 169, SCI137, ACB 167, OFO 228, FA 103 and LRC lobby.
Collections will continue through Wednesday, Nov 21, in time for the food to be given for the holidays.
Prudence Zavala, student development coordinator on South, is involved.
I am certain we will win, she said.
The NE Campus collection can be placed in designated yellow trash cans in the Theatre lobby, ATB lobby, Student Center and LRC lobby until Friday, Nov. 30.
Angela Thomasson, student development assistant on NE, is also having fun with the competition.
It is a great challenge for a good cause, she said, assuring that NE would win the battle.
The NE Phi Theta Kappa chapter will collect food for the Richland Hills Food Bank Monday-Friday, Nov. 12- 16, in front of the Bookstore and in the ATB lobby.
