Summer I enrollment increases

The final enrollment numbers for the summer are in for all TCC campuses, and district officials say the results are good.

The number of students for the entire district increased about 12 percent over last year.

Last summer the total number of students for the district was 10,361, which increased this summer by 1,269 students for a total number of 11,630.

All campuses showed an increase in their enrollment for the summer.

South Campus increased from 2,907 last summer compared to 3,135 this summer, with a 228 gain, or 8 percent.

NE Campus went up 14 percent from 3,369 to 3,831 with 462 students more then last summer. NE had the second biggest increase.

NW Campus had the largest individual campus percentage increase at 16 percent. From last summer’s 1,586 students, the campus made a 256 jump to 1,842.

SE Campus went from 2,793 to 3,172 with a 379 difference or 13.5 percent increase.

“I think that it is great that all of the campuses had a good increase this summer,” Dr. Cathie Jackson, director of administration and records, said.
