Woodard among first Blueprint graduates

Jacqueline Woodard, TCC continuing education coordinator of Allied Health, was one of the first graduates of Tarrant County United Way’s Blueprint for Board Service program.

Woodard has committed to serve as a volunteer on a non-profit organization board or committee for an elected or appointed term.

As part of her commitment, the NE Campus employee completed nine hours of training in non-profit agency governance, management, program effectiveness and finance.

Before she was selected, Woodard was among several other applicants who were asked to write an essay on why they wanted to volunteer and how they could give back to the community what they were given.

Ann Rice, United Way senior vice president said, “Diverse representation on boards and committees improves the quality and accessibility of human services by assuring that the voices of all communities are heard.”
