Workshop to give info to TCC transfer students

    Any TCC student planning to transfer to a university in January 2002 is invited to SE Campus’ free Transferring Made Easy Workshop.

    “The workshop is helpful because it will have information about university open houses, admission deadlines and scholarship applications,” Joyce Fisher, academic advisor and workshop coordinator, said.

    All north Texas universities will be covered at the presentation, as well as other prominent Texas schools including A&M, Texas Tech and UT, she said.

    The workshop is being presented twice in SED 223. It will be Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 1:30 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 11, at 5 p.m.

    “Tips will be offered about receiving financial aid, filling out on-line applications such as the Texas Common Application and free information materials,” she said.

    Preceding the presentation, Fisher and Penny Matthes, counselor, will conduct a thorough question-and-answer session for students regarding all their questions about transferring.
