Theater to present Chekov tragedy

The Three Sisters will open the NE Campus theater schedule later this month.

Anton Chekov's tragedy focuses on a family of four orphaned in Russia in the 1900s. The family members each journey down a dark, deceiving and desperate road in love. They dream of a new beginning in Moscow and find a haven in each other's arms.

Guest director Joe Alberti will use the production as a channel to teach an acting methodology, which challenges the actors to ask the questions "Who am I?" "What do I want?" and "How do I want to make the other person feel?"

The cast includes Laura Priddy as Olga, Ali Vansyckle as Irina, Leah Clark as Masha, Ember Harris as Natasha and Shirley Deckard as Anfisa. Brina Palencia, Brier Lee, Ashley Smucker, Gina Elkins and Sylvia Alvelar will appear as maids, governess and nurse.

Also, in the cast are Gus Young as Tusenbach, Jaime Rivera as Chebutykin, Chad Boger as Solyony, Alfred Ramirez as Ferapont, Steven Levall as Vershinin, Paul Dudley as Andrey, Nathan Williams as Kulygin, Darian Lockwood as Fedotik and Stephen Glynn as Rode.
