The average student changes majors five times before settling on one, a NW counselor said. To help students decide on the proper major, Joe Reed will conduct Pathway to Success É Personality to College to Degree to Career Friday, Feb. 14, at 12:30 p.m. in C-112 on NW Campus. This presentation will provide insight for students to understanding themselves, but it will be advantageous to those who are unsure of career fields. The presentation will have participants interacting through comments and questions. Students will learn career selection and the role that personality should play in selecting a career, Reed said. Reed will tell participants how to identify and choose a career that is best suited for each individual's personality. The student can then make a decision, thus bringing him closer to realizing his professional goals, Reed said. The workshop will allow attendees to complete a personality assessment to learn what type of personality he or she has. The test will provide students with a greater knowledge of themselves and also set them on the proper path toward enjoyable and fruitful career pursuits, Reed said. |
