Currently - The NE Campus Christian Student Ministries is holding auditions for a campus-wide battle of the bands for students. Bands will compete against each other for the prize of cash money. Free donuts and coffee will be available to all participants. Bands must be family friendly and can set up auditions through Jennifer Hunt at 817-891-3584.

Today-Feb. 21 - Students can help a charity and attempt to gain a closer parking place. NE Campus Phi Theta Kappa is raising money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. For every $1 donation, students receive a chance to win a parking pass that will allow them to park in the yellow faculty/staff parking spaces on the NE Campus. Ticket sales are Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the ATB lobby. The drawing will be Feb. 21 during the PTK orientation that begins at 12:30 p.m. Students may purchase tickets before the meeting in the Student Center's Center Corner.

Wednesday, Feb. 5 - The South Campus career center will present Looking for a Job 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the SUB Living Room. The seminar will cover using the Internet and networking with professionals during the job search.

Wednesday, Feb. 5 - Flo Stanton, South Campus nurse and coordinator of health services, will present Balancing Multiple Roles. In her presentation, she will emphasize successful coordination of being a parent, student, employee and other roles. Held in collaboration with the Women in New Roles program, the presentation will be 6-6:45 p.m. in the SUB Forum Room on South Campus.

Wednesday, Feb 5 - Anxiety is the focus of a seminar presented by Connie Alexander, NW Campus counselor, 12:30 p.m. in C-112 on NW Campus. Alexander will help participants determine if they are anxious or depressed and tell them where to find help.

Thursday, Feb. 6 - Time Management will help students learn to organize their schedules for optimum efficiency. Sponsored by the NE Campus counseling center, the seminar is 12:30-1:50 p.m. in College Hall, CAB 112.

Thursday, Feb. 6 - Lori Blagg and Kristie Johnson will present Math Anxiety twice, 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. in C-112 on NW Campus. They will offer guidelines for overcoming anxiety and gaining confidence to become successful in math. The seminar is sponsored by the NW Campus counseling department.

Friday, Feb. 7 - NW Campus counseling will present The Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI) 12:30 p.m. in C-112. Jim Sherwood will lead students through the assessment program, explain the results and provide information on ways to enhance study skills.

Monday, Feb. 10 - The NE Campus counseling center will sponsor Subtract Fear, Multiply Confidence 5-5:50 p.m. in ATB 236. The session will help students develop a positive attitude toward math and will cover dealing with math anxieties, tackling math though proven techniques and feeling success by overcoming a difficult subject. The presentation will be repeated Monday, Feb. 17, 12:30-1:50 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 11 - Annie Dobbins, South Campus counselor, will present How to Take a Test and Pass 11 a.m.-12:20 p.m. in the SUB Forum Room. She will repeat the presentation in April. Dobbins will offer techniques for improving test performance.

Thursday, Feb. 12 - Health services is sponsoring a blood drive for students, faculty and staff 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Student Center, Center Corner on NE Campus. For more information, contact NE health services at 817-515-6688.

Thursday, Feb. 12 - NE Campus will offer free HIV testing for students, faculty and staff 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the health center in the Student Center. The results will be available Wednesday, Feb. 26, 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the health center. For more information, contact NE health services at 817-515-6688.

Thursday, Feb. 12 - Students can learn how to combine learning styles and practical tips for a successful testing experience in Test Your Best. Sponsored by the NE Campus counseling center, the presentation is 12:30-1:50 in College Hall, CAB 112. The seminar of part of the Student Success Workshops.

Thursday, Feb. 13 - LuAnn Krey, coordinator of career and employment services, will help students build a strong resume to assist them in their job search. The presentation is 12:30 p.m. in C-112 on NW Campus.

Friday, Feb. 14 - Pathway to Success É Personality>College Degree>Career will offer advice on choosing a career, identifying ideal job characteristics and knowing how one's personality type can help in a degree/career selection. Joe Reed will conduct the seminar at 12:30 p.m. in C-112 on NW Campus.

Thursday, Feb. 20 - TCC Computer User Group will hear Cell Phones and the Web, a presentation by Bill Sproull and Sprint's Samethea Brockington, 1-4 p.m. in the NE Campus Student Center's Center Corner.
