Today NW Campus Student Success Days Committee will host the Student
Success Celebration, a big end-of-the-year festival for the campus.
Lunch will be available for $3. The day includes various activities
such as a three-legged race, tug-of-war, hula hoop contest and a live
DJ. Also, NW Campus departments will each submit a pie to compete in
a best pie contest at noon. The festival is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. outside
on the grounds east of the Student Center.
Today NW Campus health services and American
Heart Association present Heartsaver with AED CPR. This course is designed
to train anyone who wants to learn how to use an external automated
defibrillator and administer CPR. The class will be 1-5:30 p.m. in
the Michael Saenz Conference Center (WACB 1123). The cost is $15, and
reservations must be made in advance by calling 817-515-7790.
May 1 Women’s History Month summer scholarship applications must
be turned in to the South Campus financial aid office. South Campus
men and women can apply for the $300 scholarship for use this summer.

May 1 Students for Change, composed of
students from A’Isha Malone’s public speaking class, and
Students for Law and Politics, the NW political club, are co-sponsoring
a student-run political rally and voter registration drive. Student
groups will give six-minute persuasive speeches on why their chosen
candidate is the best choice for president. Various booths also will
be set up to promote political awareness and to inform students about
the issues. The rally is in WSTU 1303-1305 12:30-2 p.m.
May 1 The SE Campus continuing education
department graduation will be 6-7:30 p.m. in the North Ballroom. The
graduation ceremony is for students in the dietary managers and office

May 2 TCC students, staff and faculty
can celebrate the beginning of May 12:30-1:30 p.m. on SE Campus with
students from Ashworth Elementary performing the Maypole dance. The
event is free and open to the public. For more information, call student

May 2-8 Final Exams for the spring semester.

May 5 SE Campus students are invited
to the Cinco de Mayo celebration, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the SE Bistro.
The celebration will be in the “stress relief zone” with
Tex-Mex refreshments. For more information, call student activities

May 7 NW Campus health services will
sponsor free and confidential HIV screenings in WTLO 4104 10 a.m.-2
p.m. No reservations are required, but for more information, call 817-515-7790.
May 9 TCC graduation will be 6-9 p.m.
in the Fort Worth Convention Center. Graduates from summer 2007, fall
2007 and spring 2008 are included.
May 27 Classes begin for first summer
semester on all four campuses.
June 10 Carter BloodCare will be on the
North Patio, in front of the South Campus Student Center 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Students can donate blood if they are over 18 years old and have a
valid ID. Anyone donating blood must eat before donating and will receive
a free T-shirt. The event is sponsored by South Campus health services.

June 10 South Campus will hold a marrow
donor registration with the national registry. The event, sponsored
by the National Marrow Donor Program and South Campus health services,
will be 9 a.m.-3 p.m. outside the SSTU career center. Anyone planning
to register must be between 18 and 60 years old and must be in good

Aug. 11 The WINR Program on South Campus
is holding an orientation and registration session for students attending
college for the first time or going back to school. The event will
include information on the WINR Network and presentations by Allison
Beck, student chair, and TaShana Jones, assistant student chair, for
