Fun Run closes NE spring games

Jackie Garcia, Jacob Davidson, Valerie Bailey and Harold Jondreau ran away with the first-place honors at NE Fun Run events on Friday.

The events, a 3-mile run and a 1-mile fun run, made up the last of the NE Campus NEW games for the school year and saw 81 people participate.

Garcia was the winner of the women’s 1-mile race and Davidson the winner of the men’s race, with Candace Lewis and Sunil Adhrrkarr finishing second in those competitions.

The women’s 5k was won by Bailey with Danielle Fudge finishing second while Jondreau won the men’s race with Ben Barnard finishing second.

In the 1-mile race, participants raced against a time they set for themselves, and the winners were those who finished closest to their time.

Everyone who participated received participation prizes from neighborhood businesses.
