Early fall registration begins on June 15th and fall classes start on Aug. 25th. Fall synonym numbers and orientation information for SC, SE, and NE are posted in files below links.

ABOUT WOMEN IN NEW ROLES

Are you needing direction in your life? Do you want confirmation for a career choice? Are you a returning student who is nervous and/or scared? Are you attending college for the first time or a first-generation student? Have you been in college for one or two semesters and are still unsure of a major? Do you want to learn how to communicate better? Do you want to re-invent yourself or reposition your life? Do you want to develop leadership skills?

If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, the Women in New Roles Program at SC, SE or NE may be for you.

The Women In New Roles Program was started in 1978 due to the increased number of women returning to school. Special needs prompted the design of this program, which offers Human Relations Psychology and Applied Psychology (career/work focus).

We are a unique college-credit program designed to assist women in the transition of returning to school.
We have been providing women with support since 1978. There are no entrance requirements other than TCC admission requirements for credit registration.
Within the Women In New Roles group, women associate with other women who share similar interests and needs.
We offer aid in testing, advisement, career placement, Internet orientation, networking and group mentoring. Our Advisement theme is "Join a Winning CREW." C = Caring, R = Relationship, E = Empowering you, W = Working you through the advisement process.
Instructors in the program are psychology instructors and/or counselors.
We offer guided practice in interviewing and resume writing, and exposure to available career opportunities. Studies include: self-awareness, communication skills, both intra- and interpersonal relations for confidence building.
Women enrolled in Women In New Roles experience a blocked six-hour college credit program of Human Relations and Applied Psychology (career/work focus). These classes are covered by the university transfer guarantee and are available at South Campus, Southeast Campus and Northeast Campus.
The semester is spent in activity and study specifically geared for the women who need to reestablish their confidence and skills and who need to determine which direction their careers will move. Some students take the program for a change of career, while others are entering the work world for the first time.
Following a semester in this program, the women branch into specialty areas with more confidence and direction.

In addition to the class time spent together, the women have the option of networking together through the Women In New Roles Network, support groups, Young Women's Leadership Track, Health Forums, Women's Leadership Forum and Women's Symposium.
