Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management

Career Coach buttonOur program focuses on preparing you to start your own entrepreneurial venture or to become a small business manager by providing you with business skills relevant to the small firm.

We offer an Associate of Applied Science degree, 2 certificates of completion and a marketable skills achievement award on the Northwest Campus.

The small business courses focus on:

  • How to recognize entrepreneurial opportunities and then create and grow businesses from those opportunities
  • Components of a viable business plan
  • Management, leadership and communication skills for running and growing a business
  • Designing an effective strategy for marketing, customer service, selling and relationship building
  • Techniques for analyzing costs, preparing financial documents, developing financial reports according to requirements, and securing and managing the financial aspects of the firm
