To receive 100% refund, you must drop before the first day of the term. You must officially drop and/or withdraw to initiate any potential refund unless you are de-registered (DREG) for lack of payment or dropped for academic reasons.


  • Are generated automatically after dropping a class or for classes canceled by the College.
  • Are calculated based on the invoice amount–not payments made.
  • Take four to six weeks to process.
  • May first be applied to any outstanding balances with the College. This includes but is not limited to parking fines, library fines, and returned checks.
  • Are sent in check form if you are under 16 years of age or over the age of 54.
  • Will be made to the credit card used for payment within 90 days of transaction.
  • Will be determined by payment method used and your refund preference chosen through the TCC Choice Card.
  • May be appealed by the end of the semester, following the semester you are requesting a refund for.
    • For fall semester, the deadline is the end of spring.
    • For summer semester, the deadline is the end of fall.
    • For spring semester, the deadline is the end of summer.

If you feel you've met the Student Refund Appeal Guidelines, you may visit any Business Services office to complete a Refund Appeal Request Form.

Tuition rates and refund of tuition are subject to change by legislative and/or TCC Board of Trustees action without notice. The College reserves the right to cancel any course section due to an inadequate number of enrolled students.

TCC Choice Card

Eligible financial aid students and anyone between the ages of 16 to 54 are mailed a TCC Choice Card with instructions on choosing how they want to receive future financial aid or course refunds. The TCC Choice Card is mailed to the address on file with Admissions and Records.
