Equity and Inclusion
Our goal is to sustain an equitable and inclusive environment that creates a productive learning community.
The Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) supports initiatives that increase opportunities for individuals to engage in equitable dialogue and practices. By doing this, the office can assist faculty and staff with cultivating an equitable and respectful community in which members are engaged, empowered and individuality is valued.
TCC’s intentional approach to diversity, equity and inclusion affirms the presence and influence of identifiers such as:
- Ability (physical, cognitive, emotional, etc.)
- Cultural expression
- Gender and gender identity
- Linguistic heritage (native language)
- Sexual orientation
- Socioeconomic status
- Veteran status
Students have the opportunity to build support systems, get involved in the community and engage in leadership development through TCC student clubs and student leadership programs and through TCC's Intercultural Network.
Employees can get involved by serving on Equity and Inclusion Councils.
