Financial Aid for CIE
You can get help paying for your CIE courses via scholarships, grants or a special payment plan. See if one of these options is right for you.
TCC Foundation Community & Industry Education (CIE) Scholarships
The TCC Foundation administers 3 scholarships for CIE students. You can apply for the scholarships for the term you are currently enrolled in—even if you have already started classes.
You are eligible to apply if you are:
- Working toward a certificate of completion in a CIE Career & Technical (vocational)
- Taking quarterly CIE courses

First Choice Program on Southeast Campus
If you are enrolled in the First Choice Program, you are eligible to apply for The Erin Elyse Osborne First Choice Scholarship.

Community Action Partners (CAP Works)
CAP Works is a state-funded grant program that provides tuition assistance for short-term training certifications to students who live in Tarrant County and who meet income qualifications.
While you are taking classes or are in training, this program can also provide wraparound services, such as rental and utility assistance (depending on available funding).

Texas Public Educational Grant (TPEG)
TPEG is a state program available for eligible students in credit and continuing education classes to help meet financial need. Your need is based on your expected family contribution and is calculated from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Continuing education TPEG funding is available to eligible CIE students with demonstrated need who enroll in state-funded classes. CIE TPEG awards can be used for tuition only and are generally $300 per quarter.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Funding (WIOA)
Some training programs are approved through WIOA. If you meet the income qualifications you may take the course at no cost. WIOA is administered through the Tarrant County Workforce Centers.
