Program Description

You will learn tomography imaging techniques and will develop skills in:

  • Operating computed tomographic equipment
  • Focusing on routine protocols
  • Capturing quality images
  • Maintaining quality assurance and radiation protection

Eligibility Requirements and Prerequisites

You must:

  • Be a current Registered Technologists (RT)
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Clinical only:
    • Have current CPR card
    • Successful pass a criminal background check and drug screening

Credentials in Detail

After successfully completing the course requirements, you will receive:

  • TCC Certificate of Completion
  • ASRT continuing education units (CEU) for course work

Upon successfully completing the optional CT clinical, you will receive a TCC Certificate of Completion. No ASRT CEUs will be granted for clinical instruction.

Bring original documentation of your credentials and register in person at the CIE Services office on Trinity River Campus. 

You will have to register simultaneously for the 2 required classes:
