Lay a foundation for your education by joining the TCC Cornerstone Honors Program. Our Cornerstone Honors Program provides unique learning opportunities that:

- Build tools for future scholastic success
During the two-year experience, Cornerstone students complete 7 core classes with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (B average). Cornerstone courses count as 21 of the 60 credit hours needed to graduate with Associate of Arts degree. See the Catalog for details.
You receive a $500 annual scholarship if you are accepted into the program. We recommend applying early. Space is limited!
Honors distinction is noted on your official transcript when you complete the program—a distinction that makes you stand out from other graduates as you continue your academic journey.
As a Cornerstone honors student, you are paired with and guided by faculty mentors known for excellence in teaching. Completion of independent research projects under direct faculty supervision provides practice in undergraduate research, critical thinking, and written, oral, and visual communication.
Honors courses mean you'll be prepared for coursework at the university level and have improved or exclusive access to programs and scholarships at various partner 4-year institutions:

- Texas Woman's University
- Texas Wesleyan University
- Tarleton State University
- Many others still in the works
Texas Christian University offers Cornerstone Graduates the TCC/TCU Cornerstone Scholarship, worth $18,500 per year for up to six undergraduate semesters.
Cornerstone graduates have gone on to continue their educational path at Texas Christian University, New York University, Southern Methodist University, Baylor University and many more top-tier universities.
As a member of Cornerstone, you'll have the opportunity to travel to participate in regional and national academic conferences.
You will also take the learning experience out of the classroom and into the real-world with community service, and city-as-classroom excursions around Texas and the nation.
Participate in leadership development studies to examine the nature of leadership, study models of leadership, and nurture your leadership skills.
Our core curriculum courses promote scholastic excellence, and are taught by some of the most experienced, creative, engaged and transdisciplinary faculty in the District. Small class sizes and a cohort of gifted and disciplined students allows you to work one-on-one with your instructor while enhancing teamwork, support, engagement, discussion and application of class ideas.
