Hawaii Field Course in Biology and Geology

Hawaii, Spring 2019

All of us have experienced science in the classroom. In this program, we go beyond the classroom and step into the exciting world of the field. Learning becomes firsthand where one experiences the world with all the senses. You see, smell, hear and even touch the world as you explore basic concepts in science. Imagine the experience of a volcano up close and personal. There is no way to duplicate that in the classroom or laboratory.

Depending on your major, these classes may be used as part of your major requirement or to meet your laboratory science requirement at most universities. Imagine the vast and unique environment of Hawaii as your classroom.
